A departure from all things dog: this weekend, if you’re in the Southern California area, consider checking out one of my favorite yearly traditions — the annual Bishop Mule Days, in Bishop, California! The big parade at 10 AM on Saturday is the perfect stop on your way to high Sierra destinations!
Check out the rest of my photos and a list of other Mule events around the country on my other blog, TheWeekenderblog.com. (It’s been feeling neglected lately, with all of my Daily Toki posts.)
Mules are so cool! I’m marking down this event for next year. Really enjoyed your photos on The Weekender Blog!

Thanks Chandra! I’m trying not to neglect my original blog too much… It’s hard to do both though. And I have such a nice community of fellow dog bloggers, that I spend all of my time in Daily Toki mode. : )
What a cool photo! We love mules. We’ve only ever had horses but hope to add a mule to the herd one day.
I really gained a newfound respect for mules after learning more about them at mule days and through a packing trip that I took in the Sierras. They are amazing animals.
Great photos. I understand the challenge with finding balance between multiple blogs. With two blogs and all the Doxie events I coordinate I am finding I don’t have time to pay full attention to each one….especially in summer when the sun and longer days beckons me to come outside and play 🙂
