Saturday Afternoon at the Brickyard

Last Saturday, we went climbing at a small crag in the hills above Santa Barbara.  The area, full of large boulders, is called “The Brickyard”.  Spring had arrived, and the wildflowers were out in full force.  While we climbed, Toki sniffed and explored the dirt, sticks, grass and bugs.  I kept catching glimpses of her peeking out behind a tree or between big leaves, and she’d remind me of a little white wolf in a fairytale forest.

Hope you have some great adventures this weekend!

Thank you. It did feel a little like that, especially when I’d catch a glimpse of little white Toki peeping out from the foliage. I wish I could have snapped a few more pictures, but it’s always easier to catch them when they’re sleepy or snoozing, like in this picture.
