After my first day at America’s Family Pet Expo in Orange county, my head is spinning: dock-jumping dogs, miniature ponies (and you know how much I love my mini ponies!), interesting toys, handmade collars, all-natural treats, and novel new pet products (like the Go Pet Board for your bicycle) . . . Plus LOTS and LOTS of dogs and cats of all breeds and all sizes, including an amazing variety of unique rescue pets looking for a loving home. There’s too much to post tonight, so just one picture will have to suffice. If you live anywhere in Southern California and have a pet, are looking for a pet, or just want to pet some furry friends, go to the Pet Expo! Look for more posts in the following week(s?) with all the details of my interesting and unexpected encounters at Pet Expo 2011. And now, here’s the cutest adoptable little piggy of the entire show . . .
(From a pot-bellied pig rescue group attending the show. Will post name tomorrow.)
Addendum: This particular pig is not up for adoption, but you can find adoptable pot-bellied pigs on the SoCal Association of Miniature Potbellied Pigs at scampp.com.
Too stinkin’ cute.. sounds like a great event. Looking forward to more posts.

Thanks Anna – it was doggy heaven! I’ll have more photos and stories from the event by tomorrow, I hope!
We lub this piggy!
Too cute. I bet Chester and Gretel would love to have that little piggy as a friend 🙂
Hi! I came across your blog via the Saturday Pet Blogger Hop—gorgeous pictures, gorgeous dog! I couldn’t make the Pet Expo this year, but I’m certainly looking forward to next year. Can’t wait for more updates on the Expo!
Hi Oscar and Pauline! It’s so great to meet an LA-based blog! : ) The pet expo was awesome – not as many “products” as I thought there might be, but a lot of info on interesting dog breeds and sports. In a way, that was nice because it ended up feeling less like a commercial event and more like a celebration of dogs (and other animals).
Pet Fairs are so much fun! What a cute little piggy!!
Yes, lots of petting – of pigs and other animals! : )
The Pet Fair sounds amazing…and dangerous. The more products I learn about, the more I buy!
Looking forward to more posts!
