I recently discovered a new iphone app called 8mm. (Yes, I realize that Gizmodo profiled this app way back in December . . . . ) I gave it a whirl last weekend:
Cute, and very old timey!
You can switch between a variety of films (everything from 1920’s to 1970’s) and lenses. And at the push of the button, you can add frame jitter in real time.
As the Gizmodo article pointed out, 8mm is like Hipstamatic for your iphone video camera. Speaking of Hipstamatic, that’s another one of my favorite iphone apps – perfect for moody shots for The Daily Toki.
I like the photos…but I don’t have and iPhone. I’ll have to see if they have that ap for Android.
