Not quite a dog, but…

On my last trip to Oregon, we stopped for a tour of Wildlife Images, a wildlife rehabilitation and educational center near Grants Pass, Oregon.  I know this gray fox isn’t a dog, but he is a fellow canid family member.

This guy usually sleeps during the day, hence the big yawn.  Interestingly, the gray fox is only one of two canid species that can climb trees!  Often, it’s to escape potential predators, such as footloose and curious dogs.
